I'm usually really against changing fonts after release, but I think this change is relatively subtle and will improve the experience for there reasons you noted. Paratype also creates custom fonts and provides font mastering services. I'd be happy to remove it from the stack and fall back to Garamond (if it's installed) or Times. So I've personally just been seeing Times when using Windows.īaskerville Old Face is not primarily a display face (though it does work well in that context), but it does have a mix of thin and thick strokes, which can make it a little difficult/exhausting to read in large doses. This appears to be an oversight - I'm not sure when that arrived in the font stack, but I just double checked, and both of my Windows test machines do not actually have Baskerville Old face or Garamond installed. ![]()
